Thömus – since 1991
It all started with Thömus in 1991 on a farm in Oberried, in the canton of Bern: Thomas Binggeli sold his parents' sheep while they were on vacation and opened his first bike workshop in the sheepfold. In 1998, he founded the "Thömus" brand and evolved from a retailer to an innovative bicycle manufacturer, specializing in carbon mountain bikes.
Today, Thömus stands for Swiss quality, sustainable mobility, and technological innovation. From high-end racing bikes to connected speed pedelecs, the brand is shaping the future of cycling. Thömus is actively involved in sports with the UCI racing team "Thömus maxon" and supports young talent with the Swiss Bike Park. The company also champions modern transportation solutions such as PubliBike and the Swiss Cycling Forum. Today, Thömus AG employs over 140 people and is considered by experts to be one of the most innovative bicycle companies in Europe.
